Hello friends- I’m writing to you from the comfort of my own bed, which I have not gotten out of since we arrived home on Sunday (okay I may be exaggerating just a little bit). But seriously, I am quite happy to be home. Touring makes me appreciate the simplest things in life; my bed, my shower, a washer/dryer, a home cooked meal, my wide array of stuffed animals that I refrain from bringing on tour, and the list goes on and on.
When I think about how spoiled I am when I get home from tour, I realize how lucky I am to be fortunate enough to even have these “simple” things. We take a lot of things for granted in this world, and don’t realize that there are a lot of less fortunate people out there who would kill to even just have a roof over their head this holiday season. This brings me to my next point. I hope a lot of you have already heard about our EP “What Money Can’t Buy”, which we have available for download with ALL proceeds going to the charity Toys For Tots. Myspace was lovely enough to feature our EP on the front page today, and we couldn’t be more grateful. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can go here to listen and hopefully you will find it in your hearts to donate a few bucks for a great cause, because even just a little goes a long way: http://www.myspace.com/thesummerset/music/albums/18207384?pm_cmp=ed_spl_3mus_1
To me, the gift of giving back is more rewarding than anything.
Spread love.
